Campaigns<\/h3>\n<\/div>

The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) carries out campaigns to raise awareness of human rights issues throughout the year. Campaigns may include demonstrations, rallies, seminars, workshops and online advocacy. The themes of these campaigns range from women\u2019s rights, children\u2019s rights and the rights of other vulnerable groups, to supporting victims of human rights violations such as torture or enforced disappearance.<\/p>\n

HRCP\u2019s campaigns also mark international days of significance that are recognized by human rights organisations everywhere, such as:<\/p>\n

  • International Women\u2019s Day on 8 March<\/li>\n
  • World Press Freedom Day on 3 May<\/li>\n
  • International Day in Support of Victims of Torture on 26 June<\/li>\n
  • International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances on 30 August<\/li>\n
  • World Day against the Death Penalty on 10 October<\/li>\n
  • World Children\u2019s Day on 20 November<\/li>\n
  • 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence from 25 November to 10 December<\/li>\n
  • International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3 December<\/li>\n
  • Human Rights Day on 10 December<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    In addition, HRCP has traditionally campaigned for the restoration of student unions, an end to bonded labour, prison reforms, the security of human rights defenders, and climate justice for vulnerable communities.<\/p>\n
