As general elections are getting ready to take place in Pakistan, FIDH, in collaborations with its pakistani partner HRCP (Human Rights Commission of Pakistan), is releasing a briefer on the human rights situation in Pakistan. Our organisations call on the Pakistani government and the European Union to adopt a clear position on the following issues :<\/p>\n

  1. Maintain democratic governance and rule of law<\/li>\n
  2. Protect minorities, promote tolerance<\/li>\n
  3. End impunity and promote accountability<\/li>\n
  4. Protect women\u2019s rights<\/li>\n
  5. Enhance economic and social rights<\/li>\n
  6. Protect human rights defenders and journalists<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
